January Meeting

January 4, 2025 Minutes

Meeting opened at 9:15 am at 4H building
Nancy Miller was our guest speaker.  She spoke about proper posture and exercise to help us stay healthy while we knit.
It was brought up last year that 9 am is too early.  Mary Freitag made a motion to move meetings to 9:30am.  Laura M. seconded the motion.  All in favor.

Next month (February) we will be tatting. Threads, shuttles and needles will be available to practice with.  Bring yours if you have your own.

In March Karen from  Double Diamond Alpacas will be our guest speaker

In April,  Christine, our new President is working on a field trip to The Fleece Factory in LaSalle.  More details to come.

Other possible programs mentioned are learning different slip stitches, how to wear a shawl, color class and knitting machines.
Our new President Christine has some ideas for fund raising events.  If this interests you please contact the Guild to let Christine know.

Martha is interested in contacting 4H, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts to teach them knitting or crocheting.  If you’re interested in helping coordinate this contact the Guild.
